Miss Jenny is a singer/songwriter/performer originally form San Francisco, California who has been teaching and performing music, art and performing arts in schools and for special events for many years in the Bay Area and in Los Angeles.   Miss Jenny, or Jennifer Spalding, has a B.A. from University of California, Davis, and a Graduate Degree in Education from St. Mary's College.   She specializes in designing special musical events for children that are both fun and educational, and she is also known for inspiring even the Grandma's in the house to get up on their feet and rock out!!!   A California Teaching Credential in Music and Art Education, and a Commercial Music Degree in Vocal Performance from the Musician's Institute, Hollywood California, all gave her a solid start in this business of the heart. Playing professional keyboards, guitar and singing backups in rock bands for over 10 years around San Francisco Bay Area and in Los Angeles, touring with musical theatre groups, and writing and directing musical performances for renowned children's charities such as Share Inc. and many others, is her background.  She is the previous owner of "The Dance Garden", a Performing Arts and Dance School for children in San Francisco, and was Choir Director for several public and private educational institutions such as Westwood Presbyterian Church in Los Angeles, California, and St. John's Presbyterian Church in San Francisco, California, where she also served as a Deacon.   She has authored original designs for Music Educational Software for teaching children to become young composers, and spent time consulting for toy companies such as Leap Frog, Inc. She has scored and recorded and performed original music for children's musicals benefiting renowned charities, including donations of original scores for documentaries, independent films and via commercial CD/DVD's.   Her latest contribution being the scores for both the original and the remake of "For The Children", 2008, a documentary for Share Inc. based in Beverly Hills, California, originally narrated by James Coburn and produced by Alan Levy Productions Los Angeles.
